There has been another fire episode at the Makola market in Accra, a month after a comparable occurrence was recorded in the focal business locale.
The most recent fiery blaze gutted a few pieces of the inward edge of the new Makola shopping center.
The structure is made of shops involved by brokers who bargain in hair and corrective items, garments, shoes among others.
Onlookers say the fire started at about 7:25 am on Sunday, August 15, 2021.
The reason for the fire isn't quickly known, as fire authorities are yet to brief the media on what may have prompted the annihilation.
Some fire motors or Ghana Fire service have effectively been dispatched to the scene to drench the blazes.
"Earlier today, we were approaching our typical security watch here when an associate disclosed to me he was seeing smoke from the top of the shopping center. So I told the security staff at the shopping center to check it. I for one took a stab at calling the quantity of the Fire Service a few times, yet it was not going through. So we took a stab at putting the shoot ourselves. after 30 minutes, the fire officials came in to control the fire. Getting to the specific spot of the fire has been troublesome, yet everything in there has been singed. The blazes have been controlled now, however there is a great deal of smoke nearby", an observer said.

Around 7:26 am, we had a pain call that there was a fire flare-up at the little part of the Makola Shopping Mall. So our men came in, and we saw that because of the idea of the things that were consuming, the fire was well-land. So we got around six of our fire tenders, one stepping stool, and backing from the Army to assist us with splashing the fire. We have had the option to soak the fire. It took us around two hours, and we see that a few holders and shops have been annihilated.
On July 5, 2021, fire gutted a three-story working at Makola.
It required days for faculty of the Ghana National Fire Service to manage the fire because of the absence of water hydrants nearby.
